Year-Round Guest Dancer with Deos Contemporary Ballet

COLLIDE Dancer since 2018

Katie started dance at age 7 at The School of Grand Rapids Ballet Company, where she was a member of the Junior and Senior Company. She was in many Company productions, including Coppelia, Don Quixote, Swan Lake, and many roles in Nutcracker. As an Apprentice with the company she danced in George Balanchine’s Who Cares?, Mario Radacovsky’s Romeo and Juliet, and Paquita. She attended Summer Intensives on scholarship at Milwaukee Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, and School of Grand Rapids Ballet. She has joined Deos Contemporary Ballet for summers since their start in 2018. Some of her roles with Deos include: Steve Rooks’ Andante, Tess Sinke’s Soloist in Tchaikovsky Tea, Soloist in August Tides, Typewriter Solo in Leroy in Color, and Attila Mosolygo’s Brahms Trio. Most recently Katie danced with Fort Wayne Ballet, and some of her roles include: Swan Lake: Little Swans, Big Swans. The Nutcracker: Marzipan, Lead Spanish, Demi Flower Soloist. Carlotta in Darren McIntyre’s Phantom Of The Opera, Stepsister in Cinderella, and Gerald Arpino’s Light Rain and Italian Suites. She is very happy to be working with Deos Contemporary Ballet.
