  • No, Deos does not provide housing and transportation to interns, BUT we are happy to help facilitate finding you both! We are working with a local college to provide low-cost housing options for program participants. In addition, there are typically a few dancers every summer who have cars with them. In the past, we have coordinated with dancers who have cars to set up carpools to and from the studio each day. If you are interested in receiving more info about these housing and transportation options, make sure to note that in your application and include Tess Sinke - tess@deosballet.com in your email.

  • Yes, Deos has a limited amount of financial aid packages available to offer to our interns. If cost is a barrier for you and/or if you are interested in applying for financial aid for our 2026 program, please note that in your application and include Tess Sinke - tess@deosballet.com in your email.

  • Yes! In the past we’ve had collegiate dancers build their second major focus or additional academic interest into their program with Deos. For example, a past intern combined their Performance Focus program with a Marketing focus that they developed with Artistic Director, Tess Sinke. If you have interest in exploring an additional academic/professional focus with Deos, make sure to note that in your application and include Tess Sinke - tess@deosballet.com in your email.

  • Interns will have the opportunity to be cast as understudies or cast members in this summer’s Collide Series. Casting in company pieces is not guaranteed. Interns will perform at an intern showcase and Collegiate Performance Focus’ will perform a piece choreographed by the Program Director in Collide Series ‘26 performances. Other focus’ will have the opportunity to perform in this piece as well.

  • No, this program in no way serves as a path into the company as a company dancer. Our philosophy surrounding auditions follows our driving goal to “be a good partner.” That being said, we only host auditions when a company position is available and our audition process is built to be clear, kind, and comprehensive.
