Celebrate the Future of Ballet

Only 22.9% of ballets commissioned by the largest U.S. ballet companies last season were made by women (Dance Data Project). AWAKEN Series 24 features SEVEN new works, ALL of which are being created by women right here in Grand Rapids! As we incubate new talent and give opportunities to our dancers to spread their choreographic wings, we are working to change that statistic for future generations of dance artists, choreographers, and audiences!
